Should we really lower the drinking age from 21 to a younger age? I think not, from what I heard about and researden about. The exact reason for this is, because teens could get in serious danger. A lot of people get in danger from health problem, this would affect their life. Drinking age should never be lower than 21 of age because lowering (MLDA) Minimum Legal Drinking Age 21 would be medically irresponsible, Minimum Legal Drinking Age 21 reduces traffic accidents and fatalities, and lastly lowering the drinking age will invite more use of illicit drugs among 18-21.
To begin with lowering Minimum Legal Drinking Age 21 would be medically be irresponsible. If there was a minor who was depressed and addicted to drinking. This happens when he is with other drinkers. When drinking, you are taking risky changes like, abusive, memory loss, depression, suicide, and many more risks. In fact alcohol can damage a young teens brains by affecting different areas. This can cause others to have changes in their behaviors. When they are talking with friends or family they could get scared of or wouldn't even get near you because of you changes. Also teenagers could forget people who matter to them or they could even think about taking their own life or someone else life which soon they will regret deeply. …show more content…

So one time when my parents and I are going for a drive, there was a man who zoomed passed us and was driving like crazy. For instance innocent people could have gotten hurt by drunk drivers. Indeed Minimum Legal Drinking Age 21 decreased the number of fatal traffic accidents for 18-20 year olds by 13%. This saved approximately 27052 lives from 1975-2008. When the age for drinking age is 21 or older this can save a lot of people in so many ways possible. Therefor parents wouldn't have to worry about their children's in danger or if they are in someplace drinking a lot and
