Premium web for extra? Net neutrality is something that keeps us as the consumer from having to pay more for services. From either. It’s a law that doesn’t allow internet service providers and more specifically companies like AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, Charter from charging websites or the consumer more for using popular websites or using websites that don’t follow their beliefs. These could be anything from religious beliefs to political sides. Especially how corrupt companies are nowadays that would pay these ISP’s just so they can get there ways. Companies only care about profits and shareholders instead of innovation and progression. What lets them control more is always a win for them and what limits them is anti-consumer in their eyes. It’s surprising that this is happening. You would think that they would have been bribed to keep it away but instead the opposite is happening. Washington is the first state to Pass a “Net Neutrality” law in their own borders (Defying the FCC). With this will prevent companies from blocking or slowing down online content in their state. This is a great more in their part because if the main regulatory entity in the united states doesn’t understand the good things that this can bring then showing it is a better option. The great thing is that they can't do anything about it. If companies decided they do not want to adhere to the law, then they would have to pull out of the state. The amount of money they would lose from a foolish reason would be beyond belief. Not only is Washington doing anything about it. 20 other states, including Washington, New York, California, North Carolina and even Mississippi of all states among others are suing them.
