The Job outlook from 2014-2024 will grow 40% over the years. The projection is faster than the average than any other job. A PTA makes about $45,290 per year and $21.77 per hour but wages change due to degree, year of experience, location, and time. We are living in a generation where humans live longer and the demand of PTA is high.
Jennifer Williams was originally from Maryland. She moved from Maryland to North Carolina then finally to Rural Retreat, Virginia. Jennifer graduated for Rural Retreat High School in 1993. With being interested with cosmetology and helping others, she enrolled at Summit School of Cosmetology. After many years of learning, taking different paths and discovering the beauty industry, Jennifer decided she want to help people more than their skincare, hair care and all the other aspect that a Cosmetologist helps clients with. After reviewing different paths, she wanted something that she would enjoy more than hair.

After I graduate from Kaplan I am wanting to attend school for physical therapy assistant so this maybe something that I want to pursue. The sections of the hospital as a whole seems very interesting and I would love to be a part of any of it.

After I read the program description, I am very interested in this program. As a medical assistant we have much responsibilities in the medical office. When it comes to physical therapy and rehabilitation we have a few different roles to do. It is important that we have enough motivation. For example, We may consist with helping them walk . Assisting in rehabilitation may also mean, that you deal with the same patients.
A PT must be able to diagnose the patient for their doctor might have missed something that the patient forgot to mention. Develop individualized plans to care for patients, discussing goals, and expected outcomes. (Encyclopedia of Careers and Vocational Guidance). It is best to have a family member there at the same time the PT is explaining the plan to care for the patients, goals and expected outcomes so that they can plan a schedule for themselves. Use exercises are stretching, hands-on therapy and equipment to ease their pain.

Looking into the future is what I do most on my free time. Thinking about what career plans I have for myself, where exactly I would like to be and how far I’m going to get. Going to college was the best decision I’ve made. Throughout my whole college experience, I want to work as hard as I can and as much as I can, to achieve an overall great life for myself and my future family. That being said, my career path that I have chosen is, to become a Physical therapist assistant.
For example, upon seeing a new patient, a PT must create a treatment plan specifically designed to the patient to ensure one hundred percent recovery. In this plan, the PT must keep in mind short-term and long-term treatments that could change depending on how quickly the patient is recovering. A PT then proceeds to rehabilitate the patient through different forms of therapy including: massage therapy, electrotherapy, ultrasound, traction, and therapeutic exercise. During the patient’s therapy session a PT will document the patient’s progress to see if he or she must alter their plan of action.
