In the essay “Fighting Bulling with Babies,” David Bornstein’s goal is to “present the world through a ‘solution frame,’ rather than a ‘problem frame’” (Bornstein 204). He shows us that children from as young as eight years old can be taught to care for one another rather than bully one another. By writing this essay Bornstein hopes he can inspire schools to try this new approach to prevent bullying. David Bornstein argues that we need to teach our children how to care for one another and reward them, instead of punishing them for doing something wrong.
In the article entitled, “Courts Join Crackdown on School Bullies,” author Edwin C. Darden claims school bullying is not an easy problem to eradicate, even with the combined efforts of parents and teachers the problem seems only to worsen. The article reports the rise of severe bullying children are at risk of suicidal attempts, emotional issues, and physical scars (Darden, 2015). As bullying is not handled well at a district level Darden explained the courts are getting involved, and taking an active role in putting an end to bullying; they intend to handle the problem by placing blame on the school districts, the students, or the parents (Darden, 2015). The article addressed three specific cases in which the courts applied blame. In the first example, Darden emphasized the seriousness of the court’s decision, as a student experienced severe bully while attending a zero-tolerance bullying school district.
In the article Personal Health; A Bully’s Future, From Hard Life to Hard Time, written by Jane E. Brodyjan, wrote “In a videotape, the young gunmen attributed their acts to retaliation for years of taunting that they said friends and relatives had inflicted on them…”(1). The fact that someone was bullied into that extreme of a response is terrible and the parents should have been a little more observant of their children most likely acting differently at home. On top of friends messing with them they also had their relatives which isn’t right; the relatives shouldn’t have been taunting them. Parents need to make sure that their children know they have someone who understands them and would never want to hurt them. Also in Jane’s article she wrote “ Bullies, researchers insist, are not born, they are made” (1).

In the article it states,”According to other firefighters, an endless flow of sometimes vicious and cruel taunts is common in firehouse culture, with verbal abuse most often inflicted on young firefighter to toughen them up.” This shows us that bullying is most often taken on the new kids and the smaller to toughen them up to be hard and it doesn't end up that way normally. The way it comes into play with this is that the students get picked on by the older kids and the school should separate grades during lunch and recess so they don’t get a chance to bully the little kids.
The program is more efficient because it covers all areas of delivery and recovery from bullying. The program entails educating the children on bullying, the effects bullying has on other children and also assist all of them build positive relationships. The reported cases are adequately handled by the social worker, teachers or administrator every week (Elinoff, Chafouleas & Sassu, 2004). This shows how teachers and staff were not prepared for bullying previously and need to learn more. Teachers could still be learning strategies and solutions for possible bullying while the programs begin. There needs to be a strong adult in these bullying situations. If teachers cannot receive proper and quick training, they may not be able to help as many students. This shows how anti-bullying programs fail in the way of improper training of staff members.

Does he really deserve something he didn’t start?Students in an altercation defending themselves should not be met with the same fate as the perpetrator, because the student defending themselves, trying to stay out of trouble, and the perpetrator started it, not the victim. Kid defending themselves are defending themselves do you think they're just going to let themselves get beat up,that’s how bullying starts. Kids that just sit and take the beating eventually get bullied and beaten more maybe worst.

Bullying is an undesirable, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves actual disparity of power. According to Megan Brooks bullying is a serious public health problems, with significant short-and long-term psychological consequences for the child who is bullied and the child who is the bully. This only tells us that bullying can lead to difficulty that a certain children may experience and will have either short or long term problem. “Bullying has long been tolerated as a rite of passage among children and adolescents, but it has lasting, negative consequences and cannot simply be ignored.” Committee chair Frederick Rivera, MD.
Schools with effective approaches educate their students on bullying, and create strict guidelines to follow with serious consequences if not followed. Granada Hills Charter High School has a strong anti-bullying policy, where students are required to adhere to a series of rules which strictly enforce bullying. Should a bully be present, the school enforces strict “disciplinary action if the bullying action negatively affects the school environment, the victim’s attendance, the victim’s feelings about him- or herself, and/or the learning experience” (Granada Hills Charter High School). If a student were to experience these effects, then the bully would be held to specific consequences such as counseling, detention, a parent-student dean conference, referral to school police with possible arrest, suspension, or recommendation for expulsion. The University of North Carolina conducted a systematic review of different anti-bullying policies, and concluded that “anti-bullying policies might be effective at reducing bullying if their content is based on evidence and sound theory and if they are implemented with a high level of fidelity” (Hall).
Students will be aware of how much damage a bully may cause to the victim, and many times a bully is a victim of another bully.
