I have been on many roads in my life. I started on the rough dirt roads of Chennai, India. When I was three, my family moved to America, and I have moved five more times since. Each time, my family followed new roads to new cities, where new challenges and opportunities awaited. As I’ve grown older, I have begun to focus on a different road: a road to my future. Attending college has been an ongoing dream throughout my life. Reaching the big leagues would be one of my major goals and accomplishments. I wish to become a software engineer and follow my dreams to achieve success. Coding and engineering have continually given me comfort in my heart and have allowed me to escape personal challenges. Prosper ISD has five main points in its graduate profile, each with its own specific value and meaning. First, Prosper ISD believes that students should exhibit academic readiness. This means that students must be able to prepare for the future and learn in a way that will help them succeed past their high school years. I exhibit this quality as I am taking numerous AP-weighted classes, including AP Pre-Calculus, AP US History, and AP Physics. These are college-level classes that help thrust my learning level forward. Also, I am taking AP Statistics, Computer Science 3, AP Computer Science Principles, and hopefully Prosper Career Independent Study. These endorsement classes help boost my confidence about how I am going to survive in college and the real world with actual jobs. These classes enhance my knowledge of computer science, which is the main field I wish to pursue. Next, Prosper ISD needs its graduates to seek opportunities and challenges in learning. I apply to this particular standard because I am taking various AP classes, all of which prove to be a huge burden, but I take these classes because I love challenging myself and pushing through them. I also wish to take PCIS, which steps out of my comfort zone as I have to talk to mentors and do things without everything being on a silver platter given to me. I first lived in India and sought many opportunities there. Then, I moved to California, where I had to make new friends and go to school in an area where I had never spoken the same language before. After that, I moved to another part of California where I couldn't make any friends and had to make do with the reality of the situation. Then, I moved to Plano, Texas, where I had to leave another state behind, which was extremely tragic as I spent ages and finally found friends there. Lastly, I moved to Frisco, Texas, where I still live today, and I have made many friends, accomplished many great things, sought many new opportunities, experienced many new things, and undertaken many new
