Crime has been a major issue in the world for many years and still is. Some may ask when will it end? But, the answer to never, maybe when the world ends. We live in a world where there are so many corrupt and evil people. In society, crimes are committed every day, even when there are consequences for them. Crimes such as theft, battery, murder, possession of drugs, fraud, domestic violence, kidnapping, and rape. Anything that is determined by the law as unethical, or that will harm people in society is considered a crime. Sometimes people have reasons to commit crimes, yet it still does not give them the right to do it. A theory that describes the role in which people play in executing these crimes is the Psychodynamic Approach. This theory shows that childhood experiences influence a person’s …show more content…

This deals with the physiological behavior of an individual; which involves neuroscience, sensation, consciousness, and motivation. By looking at all of these factors, psychologists are examining our feelings and thoughts. Most crimes are backed up by reason, some type of motivation or even problems. Another area of psychology that relates to my topic is Cognitive Psychology. Cognition involves our thoughts, and how we behave according to what we learn. According to Piaget as we grow older we learn how to do a certain task; basically, all behavior is learned. If a child is playing, Grand Theft Auto a shooting game, which he enjoys and thinks it is cool; he would probably go out into the world thinking it is ok to shoot people for fun. Video games and television tend to influence a child's mind that it is ok to do certain things when in reality it is not. The last area of psychology that I think is relatable to the issue of crime is Mental Psychology. People always connect crime with mental illnesses.
