Coaching Philosophy: What is Coaching? As a strength and conditioning coach, my philosophy is immensely driven by the belief that every athlete has the opportunity and potential for greatness. The first unique quality that I can bring to this program is dependability. One thing that I am very proud of is that I have never missed or skipped a class in college. In the realm of sports psychology, there are two main theories of how coaching influences motivation, the Behavioral Approach to Coaching (BAC) and the Self-Determination Theory (SDT).
