Qualitative
Purpose
Qualitative analysis is the analysis of qualitative data for instance, data from interview transcripts. As Bhattacherjee (2012) states, qualitative analysis is heavily reliant upon the researcher’s skills in analysis, integrative skills, and personal knowledge of the social context where the data is collected. In order to do a qualitative study on data visualization in Malawi health information communication, I will first have to explore the current data flow within the Malawi HS. From there, I will build my theory, as is suggested by Recker (2013).

Limitations of Case Study
Case studies have limitations such as: problems of controlled deduction, problems of replicability, and problems of control mechanism.
Method for data collection
The literature review section will include the use of HIS in countries to understand how the HIS in other countries are being/ have been used to benefit their HS. I will first have to identify the roles of the stakeholders in order to find out what kinds of information are necessary within that role. Then I will try to visualize the data flow in HIS? I will use LUBsearch, Google Scholar, and AISNET “Basket of Eight” to find useful articles. After finding relevant sources, I will check the references of the papers and also check which papers have been cited on LUBsearch and Google Scholar to source data.

In addition, I can also use the guidelines set by the WHO and the Ministry of Health called Technical Guidelines for Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR) to align my theories with the rules and regulations set by the WHO and the Ministry of …show more content…

Subjects must be aware that their participation is voluntary and that they have the freedom to withdraw from the study at any time without any unfavorable consequences (Bhattacherjee, 2012). Informed consent form will be used to describe such rights of the participants.

I will also secure the anonymity and confidentiality of the subjects in order to protect their identity. I will also be obligated to disclose information about my own study before the data collection will begin to allow the subjects to decide if they want to participate or not. I will also be ethically obliged to reveal to the scientific community how the data was analyzed and reported in the research process. Unexpected or negative findings should be fully disclosed even if it casts doubt on my own research design
