In the book "The Hellenistic Age," Thomas Martin argues that the Hellenistic period was a crucial time for the development of Greek culture. This period spans between the deaths of Alexander the Great in 323 B.C. and Cleopatra V11 in 30 B.C. and focuses on how the generals from Alexander’s forces controlled and expanded the late king’s empire. The Hellenistic Age was a time when Greek culture spread to the Mediterranean following Alexander the Great’s death (Martin, p. 253). The generals of the late Alexander created Hellenistic kingdoms.

I think what Aristotle is trying to say about the Odyssey is that it is a lot of substance and details. Even though the plot of The Odyssey can be explained in few sentences, there would be many stories and parts of the journey that would be left out. Also if the book went straight from the start of the journey to the destination it wouldn’t be a very worthwhile
One of Raphael’s greatest works, The School of Athens resides on a fresco in the Apostolic Palace in Vatican City. It is a piece iconic of the High Renaissance. Since the Renaissance was a time characterized by new ways of thinking and a revived interest in gaining knowledge, it makes sense for Raphael to depict a large number of prominent Greek philosophers gathered in one place. The overall symmetry of the piece combined with the use of the one point perspective come together to give the viewer a sense of unity in the group of philosophers.
“Classical Ideal” In the documentary, “Art of the Western World-The Classical Ideal”, the narrator provides a history and a perspective on the Greek and Roman creation of the “Classical Ideal” to art and architecture. The narrator infers that the foundation of the two societies, namely their democratic falsifies and religious foundations, along with their focus on fitness, personal strength, calculations and intelligence, drove Greece and later Rome, to perfect their visions of balance, symmetry and beauty in their architecture and art. Greece and Rome are often held out as the greatest societies to have ever existed.

The Scottish Enlightenment brought upon the advancement of major concepts in society from the arts, science, medicine, and politics. The contractarian theory described connections formed as obligations and contracts between two individuals, however the Enlightenment brought upon social sciences that explored
The Hellenistic period saw scholars who concentrated on reason as opposed to the mission for truth. These logicians had a key view for reason as the way to tackling issues, and they prevented the likelihood from claiming achieving truth. Rather, we see philosophers return to a dependence on confidence - tolerating the failure to know truth. The major philosophical gatherings of this period incorporate the Cynics, Epicureans, Stoics, and Skeptics. Not at all like the Hellenic time frame, not very many individual rationalists existed free of these schools of
Ancient Education Affects "A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots" -Marcus Garvey. Education is the reason for our very existence. In ancient times, education was unheard of. Then, as time progressed, it became a privilege, and now it is a given. Early education shaped us, made us who we currently are, and it is the single most important aspect of history.
Perspective is considered one of the most important aspects of Renaissance art. Artists such as Masaccio, Leonardo Da Vinci and Raphael made the use of this device in many of their work. Thanks to Filippo Brunelleschi, who ‘invented’ and developed this technique called one point linear perspective. The intention of perspective in Renaissance art is to depict reality, reality being the ‘truth’. By simulating the three dimensional space on a flat surface, we in fact incorporate this element of realism into it.
