Literary Essay Every single human being has a different personality than others. There can be defensive people, such as Squeaky from “Raymond’s Run.” She is tough because she is feisty, brave, and determined. First, one of the reasons why Squeaky is feisty is because she is rude to people. She states that: “I would much rather just knock you down and take my chances even if I am a little girl with skinny arms.” This shows that she’s feisty since she prefers fighting instead of talking the situation over. When people try to bully her brother, or her, she’ll give them a direct reaction. For example, Rosie was harassing Raymond, and Squeaky told her to stop. “What are you, his mother?” says Rosie. Squeaky said: “That’s right, Fatso. And the next word out of anybody and I’ll be their mother too.” -Squeaky says Rosie, who was picking on her brother.
