In today’s world guns are rapidly becoming more popular throughout the states. More people have died from gun violence than any other war combined. Guns can be deadly weapons and they can also be a tool to hunt or a way to defend yourself from other people. The government's job is to create a safe environment for people to live in. They think that by taking Americans second amendment is the way to stop the violence? Well they’re wrong. There are many ways around this to help reduce gun violence. There will never be an end to it, but there are many ways we can help. Studies show that if people have to pass background checks and rules on size of magazines in the gun that there would be thousands of people saved from gun violence each year, and …show more content…

This will reduce the chances of criminals from the easy access of walking into stores and being able to buy a gun or multiple guns. Of course we will never be able to stop them from stealing or buying under the table. But there would be a loss of an access for these people to get the guns. There is no way to completely stop gun violence but there is a 99% chance that it will help. Another way the government could help reduce gun violence is through control of gun magazines. By doing this, it would slow down the use of automatic weapons while still protecting people’s 2nd Amendment right. Many of the mass shootings were a result of people using guns magazines capable of shooting many rounds very rapid. If there were limits on gun magazines, it would take an extensive time for a shooter to kill as swiftly and give more time for the police to appear or stop the lethal killer.. Another way to reduce gun violence would be through better gun education. If every gun owner had to pass a gun safety class before a gun it may reduce accidents involving guns. Gun owners could learn about proper storage of guns to keep children from getting hold of them. They could also learn proper care and maintenance, which may decrease accidental shootings.
