Is the United States suffering from the acts of gun control? Strong evidence shows that the United States suffers from the misuse of gun control every year. For example the number of school shootings that have taken place in the last year. With a number of guns in the United States, there is always going to be gun violence. Finally, a permit for every type of firearm should be necessary before purchase. Gun control is a big issue but could be helped out if the government would take action. With all the gun violence that do take place in the United States the amount improper gun use that does take place.
Initially, the amount of school shooting that has taken place in the United states is a large number. For example, the school shooting in 2012 at Sandy Hook Elementary School. A total of twenty kids were shot in the shooting when a “young man who carried out the second-deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history” (“Conn. police release final report on Newtown school shooting”). If the United States would regulate the amount of guns that one person is allowed to have the gun control issue would decrease, which will also decrease all the violence that takes place. More than one gun is held in every household and that is not counting the amount of guns that a person could have in storage. “Studies have suggested that reduced access to guns would result in less crime” (“Gun Violence in America: The 13 Key Questions”).
