For my service leaning assignment, I volunteered at the Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival in support of the Montgomery County Food Bank receiving donations at the festival entrance. I will also provide details and examples of teamwork, communication and networking experiences gained while at the event. The first time I noticed Mike Newton, I was at the campus dining hall completing my community service. Miss Porter’s School required all students to do ten hours of volunteer work each week. According to the program director, Mr. Banner, it gave us the opportunity not only to prepare for college but also, experience firsthand the joy and sense of purpose that comes from serving others. I had undoubtedly won the placement lottery and been given the prestigious job of kitchen duty at our school’s cafeteria. Ten hours each week, I scrubbed tables, filled salt shakers, helped take inventory, and completed any other menial tasks that needed doing.
My first out of class assignment was when I work the concession stand at Miami vs. Ohio game during Homecoming Weekend. My Fraternity usually like to give back to school in many ways and one of those ways are by doing concession stand during school games. This was my first time doing something like this because I’d just joined greek life, but my experience of doing it was actually fun and very good bonding experience with my Pledge Brothers. My assignment that day was to work the popcorn stand.t was a little stressful at first because I had just stayed up for 30 hours for “Keggs n’ Eggs”. Plus two hours before the game I was a fill-in at a Homecoming Parade for some of my pledge bro’s who couldn’t fulfill their duty to it.
Another big project that I am currently working on at Elda Elementary is recording, counting, and re-organizing every single book in the school library. I go in and take it one shelf at a time, counting each book, and recording the title and author. The librarian saw how I was coming in a lot and reached out to me asking if I would be interested in doing this for her. It has taken me four weeks now and I am not even halfway done. I like helping Mrs. Francis out because of how sweet and grateful she is for everything I do for her.

Research The students will need to research ways in which they can reduce food waste in the school and at home. The students also need to research ways in which they can use the leftover food in order for it not going into the garbage then into landfills. 1. By the age of 3, I became tutor for my older classmates, teaching them how to calculate and read books. Yet at the end of our term, the tears burned out my face as I was the only person still stayed in this class, cannot move to the higher level due to not enough age. However, this tutor experience prompted me to be responsible for training new employees in any companies I have worked.
Writing this reflective essay about Social Psychology course has made me realize that I have a lot to learn about this science but at the same time this course gave me insight into this science and helped me understand how we affect ourselves and society in terms of our behaviors, attitudes, perceptions, feelings, and thoughts. While studying the Social Psychology course during the classes and analyzing Exploring Social Psychology book, two modules and concepts grabbed my attention most. Self-Serving Bias (module 4) and Behavior and Belief (module 9) are the most remembered concepts for me which helped me improve my knowledge and skills regarding to these concepts. So, I am going to explain main features of these two concepts and discuss my

The report will then go on to discuss my future plans for how I plan to complete projects that are currently incomplete.
Taking this class has had a profound impact on me. I have learned how to properly study for a college class. Also, I learned how to effectively communicate and reach out to my professor. This was my first college course which gave me a learning experience about psychology and myself as a student. I have learned how to manage my time, study in ways that are better for me, focus on the task in front of me, and reaching out and taking opportunities.

Throughout my whole experience at Centennial, I have always wanted to join the National Junior Honor’s Society, so I feel very honored to have this opportunity to apply. Last semester, I was part of our school’s Student Council. Being in that group allowed me to see how important leadership is in our daily lives, in and outside of school. I also learned a whole lot about service, considering we had to complete one hour every week. All of these things are important, but the thing that I thought spoke to me personally was this year’s theme.
Writing project 3 has shown me the importance of writing something that is of interest for you, an issue that you are passionate about. I think that I have started to get somewhat better at the structuring of my writing and using outlines before I jump into a draft. I am no longer as scared and hesitant to write, as I was the first writing project. I think a good goal that I accomplished from this project was using diverse sources in my writing. I was able to utilize a magazine post, newspaper article and research journals to form my argument and provide support.
Learning to work with more than one population has helped me build my patience and tolerance levels, it has even helped me become more flexible
