Group communication presentation was a liberating experience for me. Normally, I am a loner and a perfectionist who believes that I am the only one who can do the perfect research, come up with correct findings and make produce a perfect research paper. The group work, however, was full of people with different inputs and different skills. All these people had their own inputs on the subject matter and research was done separately but findings shared. The delegation of duties in the group made the work easier. Some members were in charge of typing and designing the presentation to fit the required level, others handled the research and so on. Research has never been attractive to me because of the lots of work I have to do on my own. Group work made research so easy and enjoyable that I would want to do it over and over again. The group organized the members according to their skills and capabilities. My earlier ideologies of working alone to achieve perfectionism are now null and void. I met very brilliant people in the group whose input was a blessing to our whole process. I would never have achieved that level of success had I worked alone and the confidence to present mainly came from the group members who believed in me and deemed it fit for me to present. I learned how to be confident and how to work with people patiently. I learned that when people are united towards a common goal, they can achieve even greater things. Even though I also learned of my weaknesses for example articulation was a bit of a problem for me during the presentation and am working on improving it. Patience was also a big weakness on my side though as we progressed I improved and started giving others a chance to give their own
