I just wanted to say I think I 'm going to go with the service learning track because I learn more so by hands on activities and I 'm not always very sociable so I think it would shift my perspective to be learning in a position that I 'm not normally used to now that said I don 't plan to use this learning track as some weird way to become an extrovert the fact is I 'm more of an introvert and I am who I am and I don 't plan to change that and I don 't think I could anyways I think the service learning track would be a better way (for me at least) to learn sociology through experience that is
Now lastly service, service can be exemplified by volunteering at places like the community service, helping with races, or volunteering at museums like the Mariners Museum, and the Living Museum. I personally can connect to the service category because you can learn a lot about doing community service and helping others out. It can also give you a new learning experience. Service-learning refers to a teaching and learning strategy that incorporates community service. In service learning, students have the opportunity to reflect on their individual service learning experiences while working with community members to strengthen the community. I will be completing my service learning hours, with the CSUMB Educational Talent Search program, at Seaside High school located in the city of Seaside, California. My role as a service learner is to support and inspire high school students in their academic success. What? Over the past semester, I have taken part in a service learning placement to better understand the diversity that occurs within the Hamilton community, where I will be doing various clinical placements in subsequent years in my nursing program. My particular placement was at an elementary school, Pauline Johnson Elementary School, where I spend three hours every week with a second-grade class. In my role as a service learner, I acted as a teacher 's assistant.
