Reflection On Transition To Kean University

Throughout my time in Transition to Kean, I found many similarly minded individuals entering the Michael Graves College. Throughout high school, I did not find many people that shared my interest in creating or changing the spaces people live or work in. After reading over blog posts, I realized that everyone shares a desire to maximize their creative potential by going to Kean University and enrolling in the Michael Graves College. I also really enjoyed meeting everyone in the Transition to Kean class. Along with my fellow classmates, I appreciated meeting the general education mentors because they had useful advice about classes and campus life. Although the river clean up was not fun, it was necessary. Everyone on this campus should make an effort to keep their campus clean and presentable. Along with community service, I will join at least one club. I am thankful for the tiny slip of paper that has that link for individual involvement counselling. During Kean Day, I have a long studio class when the clubs will be out on the grounds. This also helps me a lot because I am an introvert. I prefer to keep to myself, but with individualized help on getting connected on campus I know I can move further out of my comfort zone. Clubs are an amazing way to network and meet with people outside of the Green Lane Academic Building. While clubs and community service is enjoyable, I will have to search for on campus employment. Thanks to the tours of the library and other buildings, I have opportunities to work in the writing center of the library or be an ACCESS tutor. I feel more adjusted to campus life and I have the resources to find work, clubs, and community service throughout my time at Kean
