“There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure” (Colin Powell). This year has been a different and fascinating experience compared to the year before. At the beginning of the school year, there was a major change due to the increase in challenging courses I was enrolled in. I would have difficulty being organized and using my time wisely. As the year progressed, I learned to become responsible by doing my work and learned to use my time wisely and efficiently in order to become a better student. I have grown drastically as a scholar, one of the most challenging courses for me was AP Physics 1 and AP English Language and Composition. For AP Physics 1 we had to invest a lot of our time studying and understanding the topics being discussed. My difficulty was not spending enough time with the topics to memorize them. As for AP English Language and Composition, it was difficult for me to organize my essays and correctly answer the prompt. I did not put in the time and effort to improve my essays and learn from my mistakes and others as well. Although these were my most challenging courses, I tried to make an effort and put in my best work. My weakness for this year was procrastination. I would wait to do my assignments until the last minute. This affected my grade and diminished it slowly. I would not use my time wisely and I would not work on my assignments as soon as I would receive them. Although I had this weakness I also had a great strength which was working hard.
