To the person who unfortunately has to read this: After about 6 hours of sleep, I woke up at 6:40 AM to get ready for probably the most difficult English exam I’ve ever taken. Since I’d already taken 2 other exams in the the previous days, I felt prepared to take this one. It was my last exam, so I expected it to be straightforward and easy...right? Anyways, I ate my lunch-sized breakfast as usual (because the exam is 4 hours and you’re not allowed to eat during testing). I also used my allergy nasal spray because pollen levels were high. Please take note that I get terrible seasonal allergies, and at this time, even people who did not regularly get seasonal allergies were sneezing and wheezing to death. (Don’t worry, this is completely relevant to this story). This year, there were over 200 students taking the AP English Language and Composition test, so we had to be split between the MPR and the library. Luckily, this article was in an English I could understand, but the mess did not end there. The questions were fine as they were more understandable compared to the previous article’s questions. However, they were not as easy to answer as it was easy to understand the article. This is probably due to the “best answer” issue when taking these tests. The test proceeded about the same for the rest of the multiple choice section: easy to understand articles followed by stupid questions. The essay part was fine as it was just like any other practice test. Don’t stress out too much about this section as the practice Miss Haney makes you do is enough. Just remember how to write and time yourself well because 2 hours and 15 minutes goes by fast when you’re forced to write 3 essays. My only regret is probably not taking a Tylenol in the morning before the test. That probably would’ve helped my
