Human trafficking Reflection
Introduction:

150 billion. Human tracking generates a profit of 150 billion dollars a year (

SlaveryFootprint ). Many people grew up knowing or were taught slavery ended in 1865 (

history.com staff). Pleasing as that sounds, slavery still exists as of to this day. This gruesome

labor system is known as human tracking or modern day slavery. Human trafficking is the illegal

transporting of people ( fundraising pitch ). During the class unit of Human Trafficking, I had

the opportunity to learn, implement my learning and participate in a successful organized

campaign.

What I have learned:

With the idea of ending and preventing human trafficking, I have come to learn

Our class goal was to raise a total of 2,000

dollars ( fundraising pitch ). The money donated to the organized campaign was a total

of 706.06 dollars. The money fundraised with fairly traded chocolates and the photo

booth was a total of 1,926.20 dollars ( drive data ). In addition, I believe the drive went

well. I noticed everybody completed their chosen tasks and with our hard work we were able to

reach our class goal of 2,000 dollars ( drive data ). Overall, I believe the organized

campaign was a success because we were able to raise awareness and as a contribution to

help prevent human trafficking we were able to reach our class goal.

Conclusion:

Throughout the unit of human trafficking, I was able to learn many facts and

implement my learning as we held a successful organized campaign. First, I have learned slavery

still exists although there have been some big changes throughout time. Next, I have learned

raising awareness by helping others be aware of human trafficking is important, but we need to

use more decisive methods to prevent this gruesome labor system from happening in the
