As required by State regulations for Testing Coordinators, I am providing documentation of a testing issue that was brought to your attention on Friday, 4/22/16.
On Friday, April 22nd during the Section 2 of the ELA Milestone test, Mr. Barbain was found in violation of the testing roles and responsibilities of Examiners. It was reported to me that a student in Mr. Barbain 's class was having an issue and Mrs. Anderson, Special Education Director, was called to assist with the student. Upon entering the classroom, Mrs. Anderson found the students to be loud and disruptive and having trouble testing while the teacher sat at his desk talking with a co-worker (Mr. Worthy). She proceeded to help troubleshoot some issues and direct students to begin testing, upon which Mr. Barbain rudely stated that he would handle the students testing. Mrs. Anderson reported the

Barbain 's class was being loud and disruptive while other classes were still testing. When I entered the classroom, I found students running around the classroom, lying on the floor, crawling under cabinets and lying under the teacher 's desk area while the teacher was sitting at his desk talking with Mr. Worthy. I proceeded to inform him that I needed him to keep his students quiet because other classes were still testing. He harshly indicated that the students were not responding to his redirection attempts. I asked if he was telling me that he could not manage his class and he angrily and rudely replied, "I 'm telling you that I need support." I ended the conversation with the teacher and immediately got his students under control and had them all to quietly return back in their seats until testing was over. Upon leaving the room, I informed Mr. Worthy that he is to remain in the hallway just in case someone needed assistance and informed him not to return to Mr. Barbain 's
