"During the "Middle Ages", from 476 to about 1100, European civilization slipped into semi-barbarism". It was a very hard and bad time, but a lot of historians debate about if Europe was in a "dark age" or not. The evidence states that Europe was a dark age. There was a lot of evidence that states that Europe was not in a dark age.
Land was pivotal to power and stability across kingdoms, it reinforces loyalty to the lords among peasants especially on manor lands as well as it gave the lords soldiers. Greed was also another component which led to disunity as wealthy landowners wanted more than they bargained for. Link: This disunity among the lords led to sieges and battles. During the time period 600 C.E.-1450 in the region of Europe, there were a few changes and continuities in religion. Such changes, Charlemagne was crowned Roman Emperor, the Great Schism, and the first crusade. Even though Europe had there ups and downs, some things just stayed the same, for instance having one God, the Bible, and the 10 commandments. Through this time period, 600 C.E.- 1450, you can see that this time period can be compared to a person who is going through drug abuse problems.
In the 1500s and the 1600s the feudal system was beginning to fall. Different countries were trying new different types of governments instead of the dysfunctional feudal system. The feudal system consisted of many different nobles ruling over their own land. It was not a uniform system of ruling over the country. There were small city-states run by a singular ruler.

Physical items are especially important in shaping an empire, whether these items are foreign items obtained from trading or natural resources found on their land. Additionally, technological advancements and inventions also greatly influence the state. Materialistic goods, foreign, native, and man-made, influence the development and fate of the nation. Technological advancements and inventions special to an empire helped them cement their status among nations and also within their own people.
World History 1600-1650 The world has been in a huge number of wars. Wars could be deadly. Between the years of 1600-1650 , there were a lot of wars, religious conflicts and science developments. One of the most famous wars in this time was the war which started in 1600 and lasted around 30 years and it´s called ¨The Thirty Years War¨. The thirty years war was a series of brutal , bloody , and a very deadly wars that took place mostly in Central Europe and it is seen as one of longest and most destructive conflicts in European history.

Principalities are territories or states ruled over by a prince that constitute some of the strongest and weakest kingdoms through the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. All of which, Machiavelli states, need the prince to reside among his people and trust in his own wit and strength to maintain power. Spain had great power and influence during the 1500s, but it was short lived and as Spain rapidly declined, England became a leading power by the 1600s. Spain’s land was 85% unusable and could only grow so much but England had much more favorable political, economic, environmental, and social factors which allowed for significant growth and sustainability. England’s naval defeat of the Spanish Armada historically symbolized England’s rise of power and the decline of Spanish power (Merriman,186). This proved that Spain had stretched its empire beyond its reach.
From the past, people of same or different regions differentianted from one another in their religious beliefs such as Jews, Muslims, and Christians. Certainly, while differences were accepted, there were times those differences caused conflicts and refected. I think when there was a religious heterogeneity it resulted in tolerance, otherwise, religious homogeneity resulted in persecution. During the Middle Ages, Jews were faced Muslim tolerance, but they were also faced persecutions by Christians. Both sides had own judgements for their actions.
Medieval Europe changed significantly during the tenth and eleventh centuries. The economy underwent a transformation through specialized jobs, job responsibilities, technology, and the development of towns and cities. People lived in small villages until the growth of towns and cities redefined the class structure. New agricultural practices increased the food supply as well as technological changes expanding agriculture. These changes created a more intelligent social class of people.
They drew a map of Europe that lasted for several generations. “What became known as the Congress system restored the principle of dynastic legitimacy and the balance of international power in Europe” . The balance of power ensured that no European state would be able to dominate the others. Where territories were given up by states they were given other land as compensation. To conserve the settlements at Vienna, the five major powers including France formed a “Concert of Europe.”
