Why regulate people’s bodies instead of teaching people that bodies aren’t distracting?

While dress codes can show how jobs also have dress codes, school dress codes are sexist and oppressive to students and studies have tried to prove that school dress codes help with preventing distractions, school dress codes also prevent students from expressing themselves, and they do not always help with preventing distraction most of the time they create distraction and force whoever is getting dress coded to lose learning time to go home and change.
