Although Ender and I both understand what it is like to have a relationship with our own siblings, Ender's relationship with his older siblings proves to be very toxic: "There was no getting to him. Peter was a murderer at heart, and nobody knew it but Valentine and Ender" (ch. 2). Throughout the book it becomes evident that Ender's relationship with his siblings isn't the best, which is shown in how the siblings tiptoe around one another: trying not to say the wrong thing, not really trusting each other, and overall just a forced and tense feeling around the relationship as a whole. This tense feeling around Ender's relationship with his siblings made me feel sad for Ender; how all his life he just wanted to be able to trust his siblings, for Peter to truly love him. Ender Wiggin, a name that many know as a fictional character in the book, Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. While reading the book, it becomes apparent that Ender definitely has a intricate and tense relationship, with his older brother and sister, Peter and Valentine Wiggin: "Well, Peter isn't all bad, you know. He was the best we'd seen in a long time. We asked your parents to choose a daughter next - they would have anyway - hoping that Valentine would be Peter, but milder. She was too mild. This makes Valentine a much more likable character while reading. Throughout the book, Ender's relationship with Valentine becomes more prominent, a strong sense of love shines through: "The sister is our weak link. He really loves her" (ch. 3). Valentine truly believes that Ender is the best person out of the three siblings and continues to love him unconditionally and protect him throughout the book; when Peter threatens to kill both Valentine and Ender and by saving Ender when battle school almost breaks
