Enders Game by Orson Scott Cars is about a boy named Andrew "Ender" Wiggins. Ender is the youngest of three Genius Children in his family, and both Peter and Valentine have worn the same monitor that Ender wore. Though neither had the monitor for as long, and neither were selected to battle school. Battle School is the Military Run training facility the trains soldiers from the time they are children to be efficient and effective soldier for the international fleet. Enders success in being selected to train at battle school angers Peter, and upsets loving Valentine.
Ender’s Impact “If you try and you lose then it isn’t your fault. But if you don’t try and we lose, then it’s all your fault.” In the second war against the buggers, also known as aliens, a lot of pressure rested on Ender Wiggins shoulders. During the first war, commander Mazer Rackham was able to defeat the buggers and keep them from destroying earth. In order to find the next Mazer, Col. Graff initiated a new military program.
Chapter14 “Enders Teacher” Chapter Summary In this chapter Ender arrives at the Command School. Where he meets his new teacher Mazor Rackham. Mazor tells Ender how we went away for a while so he can be alive to teach the commander for the Third Invasion. Ender begins training with the simulations and then begins training to command a whole fleet.
This chapter reminds me of how I used to handle problem in real life like Ender that trying to defense myself but sometimes I accidentally hurting someone that even I don’t realize it, like how Ender defense himself so that the problem will not occurs again but he ended up hurting someone in order for his goal to occurs. I dislike this chapter because of how it’s like a set up that was planned by the teachers, that’s why when they fight together in the bathroom teachers was there to help Ender, but they just comes in when the fight was almost over and that Bonzo is injured. “Now the teachers would come. The medical staff. To dress the wounds of Ender’s enemy.
The Manipulation of Ender The book, Ender’s Game, is a book full of interesting events. A six year old boy named Ender Wiggin goes to Battle School, where he is continually tested and trained to become an elite commander. He succeeds at Battle School and eventually goes to Command School, where he leads his army to victory over the bugger troops. Because of this, the world is safe from being destroyed by the buggers. Even though Ender and his fleet are successful in defeating the buggers, Ender’s intelligence and skill is taken advantage of throughout the book.
By the article, the point is that they want to raise teacher pay by having Meals Tax. In addition to it, the schools system wants to raise all salaries- particularly for mid career teachers. The raises will be depend on their education and years of experiences. The reason for this to keep the district competitive as it vies for top talent. The school 's systems hopes to spend hundred million for the teacher 's pay.
Everything has its secrets “Persuade him that he wants to come with us more than he wants to stay... if that doesn’t work ill lie to him”(Card16).In the book “Enders Game” by Orson Scott Card, one of the main characters Colonel Graff leads ender through his missions. Ender is chosen from a mix of his brother and sister’s personalities. Peter was too violent, Valentine was to caring and forgiving, and thus ender has both these characteristics. Graff has been watching him, even before battle school and has secretly been testing him. Graff prepares him for a life changing war between them and the buggers.
She helps Ender with this by threatening Peter's future dreams. Valentine and Ender have a very close meaningful bond. They are there for each other and protect each other from
Chapter 4. “I am not a killer, Ender said to himself over and over. I am not peter. No matter what Graff says, I’m not. I was defending myself.”
During the shuttle launch trip to the Battle School Ender tells himself “I am not a killer…I am not Peter…I was patient” (Card, 65). When Ender is singled out by the officer as being the only intelligent one, a invidious statement, another boy hits Ender on his head multiple instances. Through his willingness to not become like his ruthless sibling, Peter, it is apparent that Ender portrays positive traits, such as equanimity, for he was determined to convince himself to not injure the other children. In the stress free atmosphere of the trip, it is apparent that his positive qualities present through his thoughts of keeping calm. Keeping calm allowed him to be patient and remain caring.
While Graff is speaking with someone in higher military command, he insists Ender remains isolated so he can thinks he can only help his self. Graff ends the conversation implying that Ender may have friends, but no parents. Isolation for Ender is unpleasant, and tries not to focus on the agony by counting powers of two. Ender goes to the game room, however he is quickly bored by most of the games. In the meantime, Ender challenges an older boy to play a game best two out of three, in which, Ender beats him by winning two games, ultimately shocking the other elder kids.
Though Valentine’s actual motive for attempting to make contact with his ticklish knee was to console him, Ender considered it an act of peril, judging Valentine’s intention as harm to him. As an unintended consequence, Valentine’s perception of Ender has significantly modified for the worse. “A very small, fragile boy who needed her protection. Not this cold-eyed, dark-skinned manling who kills wasps with his fingers.” Ender’s colossal character change essentially reveals what Card inevitably understood he would become: a clone of Peter’s daunting characteristics.
Ender Wiggin being a third has lead to a lifetime of being a stray from the dominant culture resulting in isolation. Graff comes to Ender asking him to join battle school. Graff, trying to persuade Ender to join, bluntly explains how other people in society perceive him: “You’re a badge of cowardice… and your a badge of public shame, because you interfere with their efforts at assimilation into moral complying society” (Card 23). Graff’s words “cowardice” and “shame” reveal how Enders family truly views them. He brings his family shame just by being alive and being a “third.”
Ender will use the skills taught to him through the teacher’s manipulative plans to defeat the buggers
In Chapter 14 Ender and his friends were to believe their final evaluation is the last test and game before they go to battle against the buggers for real. But Ender and his companions believed these stimulators were just games they were playing against fake enemies. Not until they have succeeded their final test did General Graff and Mazer Rackham explain that these games they were playing were actually the real deal. I believe that the Command School authorities were justified on how they handled Ender’s and his peers final evaluation because sometimes lying and keeping the truth away from somebody for the good of humanity is worth the mistake that has been done. Without tricking Ender and his friends they would not take any necessary risks to battle
