Section B - Question 2 America’s Development in Government After declaring independence, the newly formed United States of America was challenged with the task of making a reliable government. The Second Continental Congress and the Articles of Confederation were the first two attempts at the new governments, but there were many flaws in the system. The founders wanted to improve the rules by making changes to the structure of government. Their views on human nature affected the making of the government. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights were the results of the founders' struggles.
Imagine you're in the year 1398, you are painting a picture but it looks all the same as the other ones. You look over at your friends and something makes them stand out. The strokes look different and there is a whole other perspective of the world we thought we knew. During the years 1300-1650 was when the Renaissance took place. The Renaissance was a period of big change when art and literature became popular and many advances were made.
Art reached new heights during the Renaissance. Many new techniques and styles emerged such as perspective, chiaroscuro, and sfumato. Before the Renaissance, artists focused primarily on religious scenes and Gothic art. During the Renaissance, artists began to focus more on realism and human qualities. Renaissance artists also began to lean towards Roman and Greek styles/ideas for inspiration.
Those who were educated began to question the ways of the church. This was the beginning of something called “The Renaissance” Thing began to change. Things such as art, literature, and astronomy, all took place and changed the mans view of the world forever. During the Middle Ages, art was mainly focused on one thing.
The Renaissance was a terrific time for innovation and learning after the Middle Ages. This era of advancement occurred between 1400 AD and 1700 AD. The Renaissance occurred in post-medieval Europe. The prosperous age brought many advancements to Europe in various fields, such as astronomy, mathematics, and art. The Renaissance also made man question everything they practiced in the Middle and Dark Ages.
The middle ages brought very few books because the monks would spend month’s hand writing copies of religious writings which made the books immensely expensive. Document B states that “Man think sin in the beginning full sweet, which in the end causeth thy soul to weep, when the body lieth in clay” (Doc B) that means that if you were to commit a sin it will catch up to you in the future and you will have to pay the price. That quote basically sums up the thought on how the middle ages worked. The difference on how literature changed the way man thought during the renaissance was because people realized they didn’t have to always right about religion, they were open to write about anything they wanted to which made them smarter and important. Science during the renaissance played a big impact on how people looked at the universe and the environment we live in.
From the fifteenth century to the seventeenth centuries society experienced a shift from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. During this time Europe underwent many significant changes that were often expressed through the historical art. Passionate and experienced artists used their skills to create masterpieces that would highlighted these changes and led to the success of their careers. During this shift Medieval point of views began to fade away and a new Era full of new perspectives began to form. The Renaissance was known by many as the rebirth of the humanist culture.
It was a progressive age in the sense of invention and art. A prominent difference between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance was the change from a religiously fueled society to a belief in a more secular world, and a stronger focus on humanism. The Middle Ages and the Renaissance can be considered one of the two main eras that influenced the world we live in today. The Middle Ages, which lasted from the 5th to the 15th century, was a time of darkness, death, cultural diffusion,no education, art, and literature. The Renaissance, started in the 1350s, stirred a lot of new ideas to the public, and showed what the world really has to offer. Politically, before the Renaissance, people were under the impression that god chose the man in charge. They lived in a world where feudalism was established.
There are a few things that differed between the Renaissance and the Middle Ages. Things such as humanism and new inventions came about after the Middle ages. The Renaissance is commonly defined as the rebirth of Europe after famine and plague swept through the area during the Middle ages. In the Middle ages, people were always faced with diseases and war.

Introduction The Renaissance was a period during which Europe flourished through the middle ages. The Renaissance comes from the French word rebirth. Given the name Rebirth, it was not only a historical period in Europe, but also the emerging of a new spirit of intellectual and creative review. It was the main feature in the religious, political, and theoretical sensation.
Art during the renaissance During the Renaissance, there was a lot of artworks and creations. The art varied from paintings to sculptures. some of the famous artists during this time were Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Donatello. These artists have created amazing works and have more than likely inspired many artists around the world today. These artists have created a huge impact on the importance of art along with giving more of a historic background.
The renaissance was a time of many different improvements and changes to the era previous to it, the medieval ages, the renaissance re-introduced many different Roman and Greek traditional aspects, so much so that renaissance literally translates into “rebirth” in French. Other changes include social such as the rise of humanism and humanist beliefs, secularism, individualism, big changes in mathematical studies, sciences and all types of learning in general, the printing press invention, as well as religious changes, and the arts were also affected and changed with techniques such as chiaro-scuro, perspective, sfumato, and further more to be explained.
