The scenes open up with Benvolio meeting Mercutio and Tybalt suddenly comes to have a brawl asking for Romeo , but Mercutio get caught up in the conflict and dies by a gun shot. Friar helps Juliet, friar gives Juliet a potion to drink, this will make her look dead for two days, when she is actually sleeping. Romeo is been banished from Verona because of two deaths, Tybalt and Mercutio. While Juliet has drunk this, romeo has no clue what is going on. Friar sends a letter, as he send this letter, he send out Friar John a messenger to give his letter to Romeo, but it does not get to him.

Knowing full well that it was strictly for Capulets, Romeo, Mercutio, and Benvolio all went disguised. Mercutio and Benvolio mainly only went to accompany Romeo in his search for Rosaline. However, due to the fact that they were consistently around Romeo at the banquet, Tybalt therefore associated Romeo as an enemy, as well as Mercutio. Tybalt fights Romeo for being a Montague but Romeo does not want to fight so Mercutio fights for him and gets killed declaring “A plague a both houses! I am sped. ”(Romeo and Juliet, III, i, 87). Mercutio dying results in Romeo killing Tybalt and getting banished from Verona, having to leave to Mantua and away from Juliet.
According to Mercutio, Tybalt is a formidable duelist, and a very tough man to fight. In other words - Romeo does not stand a chance. As foreshadowed in the prologue, there will be many deaths yet to come, and this deadly duel is just the beginning. When Tybalt comes looking for Romeo, he runs into Mercutio. Because of his big mouth, Mercutio gets himself killed.
Tybalt is Capulet's most fierce fighter and is the cousin of Juliet. Tybalt finds Romeo and tries to start a fight with him. Romeo won’t accept the fight, but Tybalt continues his pursuit of Romeo. Mercutio, who’s Romeo’s best friend, takes the fight for Romeo. Tybalt and Mercutio begin there brawl, but the fight ends with Mercutio’s death.

The news Romeo receives is that Juliet is dead and in the Capulet's tomb Romeo does not know abou the fact he is supposed to be at Juliet's side when she wakes. Romeo is not aware of Juliet and Friar Lawrence's plan with the potion so in turn he takes his own life thinking Juliet is really dead. When Juliet wakes she finds Romeo dead next to her, she takes Romeo's dagger and stabbed it into her chest killing herself.
During the dramatic scene of the play, Tybalt, the cousin of his wife, kills Mercutio, and Romeo, in a fit of rage, swears to get revenge and declares, “That late thou gavest me; for Mercutio’s soul is but a little way above our heads, staying for thine to keep him company. Either thou or I, or both, must go with him. 3.1.128-131. This vindictive promise challenges Tybalt, Mercutio’s murderer, to a duel, and the outcome is in Romeo’s favor. When the Prince finds out about the ordeal, he ultimately decides to exile Romeo from the town of Verona permanently.
