The movie Titanic, directed by James Cameron, is often labelled as an adaptation of the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, due to their stories of forbidden love leading to tragedy. However, the productions are separated by the choices the characters make. Romeo and Juliet come from different and notoriously conflicting worlds, but their tragic fate is ultimately caused by their impulsive choices.
