William Shakespeare’s drama, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, illustrates how love at first sight influences and impacts a person, along with how fate is inevitable. In Romeo and Juliet, the Capulet and Montague families hold a long-lasting hatred for each other. Both Capulet’s and Montague’s only have one heir each. The Capulet’s heir is their one daughter, Juliet, and the Montague’s is their one son, Romeo. During the play, the two destined enemies fall in love, causing them to make rash and immature decisions in an effort to stay together. This cause-and-effect results in Romeo and Juliet going behind their families’ backs and getting Friar Lawrence to officiate their marriage.
