Death By Love In the play Romeo and Juliet, written in 1594 by William Shakespeare two teenagers, Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet fall immensely in love, and the love they have for each other ends up becoming the cause of their death. The series of events that lead to the death of Romeo and Juliet are all cause by their love for each other; falling in love with feuding families, Romeo battling and slaying Tybalt Capulet, the banishment of Romeo, and the miscommunication with Romeo on the faking of Juliet's death. Tybalt notices the young Romeo Capulet and immediately got mad for Tybalt is very short tempered. He wanders over to Lord Monatgue in rage and Lord Capulet orders Tybalt to stay under control and not start any fights, "Content thee, gentle coz, let him alone. / He bears him like a portly gentleman, / And, to say truth, Verona brags of him." ( I. 5. 64-66 ). Lord Capulet believes that Romeo is a respectable young man and that is the only reason Tybalt doesn't attack Romeo. Though Tybalt doesn't fight Romeo on the spot, he then begins to develop a grudge against Romeo. This is where things get bad. She notices the only way to get to Romeo is to fake her death because her father is planning a wedding for her grief of Tybalt's death. She has a potion made to put her into a deep sleep to resemble death. Friar John is supposed to deliver the letter to Romeo about how he is to come back when the position wears off and take her away to Mantua. But remember, Mantua is quarantined! Friar John isn't able to get the letter to him. Balthasar, Romeos servant, tells the news that Juliet has died not knowing it is just a sleeping potion. If he wouldn't have gotten banished non of this would be happening. Romeo goes back at night to see Juliets dead body but Paris, the soon to be husband of Juliet, believes he is there to trash the tomb. They duel and Romeo kills Paris.
