The Nurse and Friar Lawrence although having good intentions for the young couple their plans to keep them together failed miserably, and contributed to the death of Romeo and Juliet. In the Shakespearean tragedy “Romeo and Juliet” written by Shakespeare, the Nurse and Friar Lawrence hindered Romeo and Juliet’s relationship, because their execution of their plans for Romeo and JUliet were extremely flawed. In the tragedy Romeo and Juliet, two star-crossed lovers meet and fall in love instantaneously, and they get married only one day after seeing each other. Friar Lawrence is mostly to blame for the tragic death of Romeo and Juliet, because he didn’t tell anyone about their marriage. “Sir you go in. And, madam, go with him. And you go too, Sir Paris.Everyone prepare to take this beautiful corpse to her grave. The heavens hand threateningly over you for some past sin.”(4.5.90-95) Friar Lawrence in lying to the Capulets by telling the m that Juliet is dead, and he also did this same thing when they were talking about Juliet marrying Paris. He is acting like he knows nothing of the secret plans that he had divulged, and he should have never made those plans in the first place. If he had not kept adding on to the problem then maybe the death of both Romeo and Juliet could have been avoided completely. All in all, the noble Friar Lawrence thought he was helping the young couple, but he was actually leading them to their
