Friar Lawrence was to blame for the duo’s cessation of life due to how his plans for Juliet to fake her death and Romeo to meet her and flee Verona were absolutely atrocious. Friar Lawrence's plan to relay the letter was extremely poor. Despite knowing the peril of the situation, instead of opting to relay the letter that would inform Romeo of the plan, he instead decided to send the letter at night for no apparent reason.
