Who do you blame for the mess for Romeo and Juliet? Do you blame Romeo? Do you blame The Nurse? You can have your opinion and I can have mine but I'm going to try to convince you to think the same way I think. Who I blame for the mess is the family feud. Another reason why it was the family feud that created all the mess Romeo and Juliet’s sneaking around and lying. Now you might think what I'm saying is dumb. Like how did them sneaking around have to do with any of this? For example, when Romeo just got back from marrying Juliet, Mercutio and Tybalt are fighting. Why are they fighting? They fought because Tybalt calls Romeo a villain but Romeo wouldn't fight Tybalt because he is related to Juliet. (Act 3, Line 58-59, page 748,”Romeo, the love I bear thee can afford. No better term than this, though, art a villain.”). Mercutio was mad that Romeo wouldn’t fight Tybalt so he fought him for Romeo (Act 3, Line 72-73, Page 749, “O calm, dishonorable, vile submission! Alla stoccata carries it away.”). If they knew that Romeo, just a couple minutes ago, married Juliet this could all be different. Maybe Mercutio wouldn't be dead. Maybe more people would have died.
