In Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare, Romeo is the cause of a lot of sorrow. Romeo Montague is the character most to blame for the tragic events in Romeo and Juliet because he bumped Paris off, he took his own life, and juliet took her own life because Romeo was dead.
