Traveling has been my passion ever since I was a little girl. I love meeting new people, learning about new cultures, and visiting new places. By far my favorite place to be is Royal Caribbean’s private island Cococay, located in the Bahamas just north of Nassau. Cruising with Royal Caribbean is the only way to gain access to the island, something that my parents and I have experienced over 14 times. Sadly, though not all cruise lines live up to the amazing experiences Royal Caribbean has to offer. In my opinion, Royal Caribbean International is far more superior to Carnival Cruise line in many different aspects such as demographics, family focus, and dining. Royal Caribbean ships accommodate anywhere from 1,832 to 5,488 passengers while Carnival ships accommodate anywhere from 2,052 to 3,954 passengers. Even though on average Royal Caribbean always houses more passengers their service comes out on top. Everybody that works on the ships, including the captain, are friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs. They are always there for you and make sure you are having the best vacation possible. The service is especially noted during dinner in the formal dining room. Your food is served fast, and happily made with any special request. Two or three times a trip the waiters and waitresses will sing and dance for you, making your time spent there unforgettable. On the contrary Carnival has far fewer guests to take care of and the service is significantly less then what is considered “normal” on Royal Caribbean. Many of the workers on Carnival just do not seem happy and some won’t even talk to you. The food service is slow and often doesn’t live up to the standards of the guests.
