The victim of the robbery, Anthony Tolliver stated he was sitting inside his apartment and his roommate (Melanie Rhodes) came in the front door with an unknown black male behind her. Tolliver stated the unknown male was standing behind Rhodes and had one arm around Rhodes neck and was holding a knife with the other hand. Tolliver stated the male demanded money or he would kill Rhodes. Tolliver stated Rhodes was begging Tolliver to give the male the money.
Gary Peitry was laying on the ground when Officer Jack JONES arrived. There was a lot of blood pooling around his head and several of he onlookers were turning kind of green. There was a star shaped entry woulnd by the left side of Mr. Peitry’s neck and the base of his head, just below his ear. There was an erring in Mr. Peitry’s left ear, kind of a bluish or greenish stone set in silver. Mr. Peitry wasn’t breathing, and OFFICER Jones could find no pulse, even though he looked for a few minutes, and even checked his ankles.

While conducting a walkthrough/watch tour in G-housing Inmate Javen Brockington approaches saying he is having issues with his roommate William Liles. He states they were arguing and if they were not separated it would result into a physical altercation, when question further he gives no details. Inmate Liles and myself exit the housing unit to the Multi-Purpose Room 2. According to him Inmate Brockington was making racial comments; referring to him as white boy, bulling him, by saying “I ‘am in here for murder” and he wanted to be move out the housing unit.
At approximately 0000 on the morning of 7/16/2017 Tami Raines called S/O Ubbes at the security desk to report suspicious activity in the South Garage. Ubbes immediately dispatched Shift Supervisor Riddle and S/O Miller to respond. Upon arriving at the South Garage Riddle and Miller began a floor by floor search making sure to check every hiding place and stairwell. Upon reaching the top Riddle and Miller concluded the individual was not in the parking garage. Ubbes began reviewing the camera footage while Riddle went and talked with Tami.
