There are various reasons that I decided to attend Sam Houston State University. Some of the reasons include and are not limited to the Business programs that they offer, reviews from fellow students, faculty, transfer scholarships and then, location. I reside within 10 miles from SHSU, The Woodlands Center, which makes it convenient to attend the institute. I did not have to relocate or make any additional major changes to be able to pursue my business degree. I understand that the institute might not offer all the courses at this location and that I might have to drive to the main campus, in Huntsville. I want to use the knowledge and skills that I have obtained through my education, along with twelve years of administrative and managerial experience and skills, to make positive and inspiring changes within a company that will recognize my degree earned through SHSU.
I enjoy studying and am very proud of my achievements and maintaining a 4.0 GPA, as a non-traditional, first generation, English as a second language student. Studying abroad has proved that I can do anything and be anything I want to. More importantly, the instructors and my previous manager at Lone Star College-Montgomery have contributed significantly to my academic achievements and career aspirations.
