Dear International Baccalaureate Advisory Committee,
My name’s Paris Cortez-Lee. I’m 14 years old and a freshman at Temescal Canyon High school. I am originally from the evergreen state of Puyallup, Washington, but up until this summer, I lived in a couple parts of out neighbouring country, Canada, for the last 3 years. I lived in White Rock, British Columbia for about 1.5 years, and the rest in Milton, Ontario. The wonderful thing about Canada is that they take their education seriously. They lacked in no department.
1.My academic goals throughout all of my high school career is to get a 3.5 GPA or higher and join as many clubs as possible. As far as my University goals, i’m aiming to get my Doctorates degree in Archeology or Anthropology, and my masters in Literature at Oxford University or any IVY league schools.

One, in which the program gives me the tools and knowledge to enter a university environment with confidence that i'll pick up and understand the material easily, and another by shortening how long i'll be in university. For example, for me to get my PHD, that's about 6 years, with the IB program, i'd only have to go for about 4 years, it saves me time and money.
3.The IB program would assist my goals by challenging me in ways that'll encourage me to learn new things, bringing me closer to the university level mindset that i’ll need for the coming future.
4.I’m willing to meet the rigor, demands, and responsibilities of the IB Diploma Program by devoting my time to my studies. By managing my work and using all my time wisely, I am prepared to meet above and beyond all standards the Program
