Illegal immigration is a growing problem in our country. Merriam-Webster defines illegal immigrant or alien as “a foreign person who is living in a country without having official permission to live there.” This means that illegal immigrants are foreigners coming into this country undocumented, without the proper paperwork, or following the correct procedure, and in doing so they are breaking U.S. laws. As a result, the United States needs to take action and deport all undocumented immigrants, because they are bringing crime, taking our jobs, and costing taxpayers money.

While only thirty-seven percent are federal inmates, one hundred percent of the illegal aliens residing in America are law-breaking criminals. In 2014 Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, deported 177,960 illegal immigrants who were all convicted criminals. One hundred and twenty-one illegal immigrants released from custody were later charged with murder.
