I believe that immigration shouldn't be a such of a huge issue like politics make it out to be. Moreover, they make it seem as immigrants were bunch of criminals', useless, like if they weren't' human. We should be able to live in peace. After all, it is not like Americans lived here forever. Hundreds of years ago, they sailed to America and killed and raped a lot of Native Americans and stole their land. After that they said no one else is allowed, yet they are not really "Americans". Also, I find the phrase "Immigrants just steal our jobs" really funny. Those are just excuses that racist people have to kick them out. They came and took the jobs that were already open. Therefore, I find that phrase as an excuse for racism. What disgusts me most is how they do not care that they will be separating families. Or how a lot of immigrants are underage and came here at a very young age. Therefore, they consider America as a home because that is all they know. Also, a lot of them get awards, very high grades, etc., yet a lot of them get deported. All that work for nothing? I've seen it happen a lot of times every time I turn on the T.V and the news are on. They could've gone further than some U.S citizens. Although this is not the case, they don't get a chance. My parents watch this and they usually say, "You should be happy that you were born in the U.S". Which takes me into deep thoughts. Mostly, it makes me angry how bad they are treated. Only because they weren't born in the U.S doesn't make them any less. Yes, there are some immigrants that are criminals. Although for me the white people here are worse. For example, school shootings, church explosions, etc., and all of those events are not caused by immigrants. Yet, they turn their heads and barely give them any punishment.
