Theme: This article examines teachers' and school administrators' ethical dilemma between balancing students' safety from bullying outside of school, such as through cyberspace, without violating any civil rights.
Dilemma:
The stakeholder described in this article would be everyone involved with the schools, such as the teachers, school administrators, parents, and students. All of the decisions made by school administrators and teachers affect the students in some aspect or another. It is their responsibility in order to ensure the safety for all of their students in a variety of aspects, such as from bullying. However, when bullying occurs outside of school, can the teachers and school administrators still take action when it clearly affects their students' behavior? Parents and students seeking for help, would say that it is the schools' responsibility to help resolve the issue. In some unfortunate cases when tragedy strikes, the blame is usually placed on teachers and school administrators for not taking the appropriate action.

As the article mentions, Robert S. McCord, an education professor at the University of Nevada, says that "many educators are 'tied up in knots' daily over bullying and cyberbullying" (SOURCE). The conflict mainly arises from the fact that "cyberbullying decisions in lower courts are inconsistent, and the Supreme Court has yet to consider the issue" (SOURCE). Even with the various anti-bullying laws that are implemented, there have been some notions that the laws violate students' civil rights. While holding an authority position, teachers and school administrators have to comply with the laws from the federal government.
