The two companies I have chosen are Sephora and Ulta beauty. I've chosen them because they sale some of the same brands and I want to see which one the right for me is. Sephora consumers are Asian, Hispanic, African America, and Caucasian. The ages of the buyers are near 24 to 65 years of age. The average spend of a customer is about sixty dollars. Then on the other hand Ulta's consumers are Caucasian, Hispanic, Asian, and African America. Ulta's ages are about 24 through 65 and older. Their average buyer spends about forty dollars it's probably because their products are more affordable.

One marketing strategies that both Sephora and Ulta Beauty have in common is a mobile app. They use the app to make it easier for customers to find what they need and not be bothered. It also helps the company to see what people look up and read the reviews that customers leave on there. Another common thing they have is free samples. By giving free samples with purchases online it makes the customers happy that they are getting something for free. Then, the last thing they have in common is points and email. Points make the customers want to buy more things because points can be used to get something free and who doesn't like free things. Both beauty stores use emails to 'commutate' with customers.
