Love is having a strong feeling towards someone that can be romantic and about their identity. When you have romantic love, you are strongly attracted to that person and want to spend all your time with them. When you have identity love, you want to be just like that person and they are like your role model. In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Romeo is madly in love with a girl he just met until he met Juliet. Romeo and Juliet’s families are in a feud, so they are not allowed to see each other.
Romeo and Juliet claim that they love each other, but that isn’t possible. How can they possibly be in love when they have only known each other for a few short hours before declaring their undying love and uniting in Holy Matrimony? Love is a limitless and condition-less devotion, based on an intimate knowledge, to another person, whereas lust is an emotional obsession based on physical chemistry and appearance. Lust initiates a desire to acquaint ourselves with someone, but our interactions with and increased knowledge of a person are what cause us to love. Romeo and Juliet definitely lusted after each other.
Love is a natural feeling that causes humans to do crazy and irrational things. For instance, in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the two main characters’ obsessive love for each other is the main cause of their downfall. Romeo, however, indulges in his passion much differently than Juliet. In the balcony scene in Act II, scene ii, of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Romeo is shown to be impulsive and immature. This is made clear in Romeo’s attitude toward love and his reactions to dangerous situations.

Two teenagers commended by one-another through the love that they seek has turned both of their personalities downhill resulting in their deaths. Their love blinded them of the importance of family and their own personal self. If Romeo and Juliet not have met and become madly in love with each other they both could have seen another day.
Fake Love There is a difference between love and infatuation. In the Play Romeo and Juliet, Romeo claims Juliet is the woman he is helplessly in love with and is destined to be with. Although he may think that he loves her, his desire is captivated by her looks. Throughout the play, it becomes more obvious through Romeo's words, history, and knowledge that he does not know the loyalty of love. “Young men’s love then lies not truly in their hearts, but in their eyes” (Act 2, Scene 3, Lines 67-68)
Confusing love A lot of people can’t make up their mind about a bunch of things that happens in their life. What to wear,who to hang out with and even what to eat. But not a lot of people are as unsure as juliet. Juliet’s tragic flaw is being indecisive, and not knowing what to do in the moment.
If Romeo and Juliet did not commit so soon maybe they would have not desired each other so much. I feel as though if they didn’t get married they wouldn’t have felt obligated to be with each other. They knew what they were getting themselves into was wrong because they were already involved in the problems with their family. The outcome of them not being together in the end was expected because it was wrong. Everything was going to be against them because they were selfish.
Love can be defined in a multitude of ways, for example Merriam-Webster defines it as, ¨[a] strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties¨ although, love can also be more than a definition, as it is a feeling. Some reasons to further prove Claudio and Hero’s love isn’t real is they simply don’t trust each other and Claudio moves on from Hero quickly. In William Shakespeare's, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo and Juliet are not truly in love because they automatically fall ‘in love’ after seeing each other once, they decide to get married a few hours after they meet and they are too immature to actually know what love is . One reason Romeo and Juliet are not truly in love is that they fell in love right after they meet (lust at first sight).
The first reason that Romeo and Juliet are not in love due to the fact that they are too childish to fully understand what love is. During the famous balcony scene, Juliet says, “But to be frank, and give [my love to] thee again, And yet I wish but for the thing I have. My bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the more I give to thee, The more I have, for both are infinite.” (2.2.31-35).
If Romeo and Juliet had done anything differently in life, their love would not have happen. They would not have met. If Romeo hadn’t gone to the party, if he and Rosalina had loved each other, and if the two families haven’t been in a feud everything would have different. Romeo didn’t want to go to the party. His friends made him though.
