Goals and Philosophy:
My short term goals is to prepare my portfolio before my graduation and look for an agent who can help me get recognized in the acting industry. On the other hand, my long term goals are to be a successful actor who is active in the industry and has work in her hands all the time. Also, my long term goal is to travel around the world and work with different country’s industry. As an artist, my philosophy is that you should always keep yourself open to everything and accept every opportunity even though it is different because it helps you grow as an artist and it also expands your creative process. Also, be perseverance, creative, and intelligent (Hecht). There are many skills but according to me I think these are the main skills to be a successful actor. I am skillful in improvising, scene studying, voice projecting, and coordinating. I want to attain the skill of being adaptable and flexible, as a stated previously that I have started to trust myself with ideas but I need to work more to be successful because most of the times I hesitate when a change happens around me. Also, I want to be fully independent because sometimes I tend to think that I should do the same thing as others or I rely on them to make a decision for me. So far in my classes I get complimented that how much I have grown since day one because looking back I used to be so constricted and shy on the stage and now everybody is amazed with ideas I put on stage. The actor’s tools of the trade is to shoot new headshot and commercial shots at least once a year and also a filming reel (Maxwell). I have gotten my headshot taken last year and planning on getting another one done before my graduation next year. Technology is changing as we speak. There are new things released every other day in todays world. In filmy industry, technology is the main thing from editing to producing the actual piece.
