Zach’s Reflection Freedom is something we often take for granted and do not realize how much it can impact our life. But how did we earn that freedom and how do we keep that freedom that we so often enjoy without thinking about it? It is because of the brave men and women who are willing to sacrifice everything including their lives to defend our rights and Country. How do these brave men and women get treated after serving our Country is an important issue, which is where originations like the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Disabled American Veterans (DAV), and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) come in to help.
For Freedom Freedom is like nothing else. Freedom is a very delicate idea. In the late 1800s freedom was highly sought after. For a slave like Amari, taken from her village in Ghana and made to work as a slave, freedom was all she could hope for. The book Copper Sun by Sharon Draper illustrates how freedom may not be what people expect and may be taken for granted but is still worth all the work.
Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. The foundation of America is freedom. Freedom from Britain. However, the freedom is limited to white males who own property. When colonists started to immigrate to America, they wanted to escape from under the rule of Britain.
Symbolism of LOTF Items “A leader is the one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way” (John C. Maxwell). Throughout the world, humans fight for control over society and differences of opinions. Different types of leaders which have different views of laws and freedoms. WIlliam Golding uses these concepts to show how a single island of boys represents the world.
A lot of people take freedom for granted. Some might not even realize that they have freedom! But freedom is not something you get, you have to work for it. You have to put a lot of components and time into gaining freedom. Freedom is a privilege that you have to work for.
Freedom is not something someone else gives you, you have to fight to obtain and keep that independence. There are many reasons why countries are still fighting to gain independence. Even during a time where people think that they have it all, it isn't always the same for others. There are many countries that don't receive the same independence as others
All African Americans had to endure torture, losing family members, punishment, and much more. They had no freedom whatsoever and if they tried to fight for it, they were punished for it dearly. African Americans had to face so much to gain their freedom, and even when they did some people did not agree with the ruling. Even in today’s culture there are still people who see African Americans as less and judge them harshly based off of the past. It pains me to think that our society used Africans Americans for
Freedom comes at a cost. Americans have exerted their all to gain freedom even before the founding of this country. For example, the U.S. has had many accomplishments such as eliminating slavery, advancing women's rights, and pursuing other freedoms across our country. Overtime Americans have pushed for freedom, and have been successful in doing so through their determination.
All our lives we are busy to gain things, whether it’s money, fame, or love. We don’t look at things we already have, and we are always lustful of things we don’t have. In my opinion we don’t value things we easily achieve and we show more concern towards the things which are hard to get and that is not the right way to precieve things. As the assignment asks, do we value what we struggle for?
It is what caused the United States of America to rise in power and create a unified nation. In fact, freedom is one of the main reasons so many people migrate to America. What
The first time I ever experienced freedom was when I came to America. Sometimes freedom ain 't really for all, you still have to follow all rules, and obey your parents. The word *Freedom* means to me is that you may have the right to do what you think is right, and you don’t really have to be one of those people out there that have no right. Even if you don’t have any right you can always dream, and experienced from the people around you, and your friends. When people always tell me what’s right, or wrong, that annoys me.
Freedom is more than just a word, it is actions, it is feelings, it is the ability of being able to choose your own life. In the US, you have the opportuniy to pursue any occupation you may want to hold. In other countries such as Germany and Japan, the students must pass a test to determine whether or not they are allowed to move on to a secondary school for higher education. Freedom also means being able to speak your mind without being scared of government repercussions. But, liberty is not unconditional.
As we open our history books we see, what our past dominant leaders have done in order to achieve a better tomorrow. What we have seen is the dehumanization of all so many people the dominant leader of our past have dehumanized people to get ahead. But the ones’ who they dehumanize the most are the African people. They took their freedom and made them slaves. People who had no liberty to say or do as they pleased.
What is freedom? Is it an absolute right or is it something we can live without it? People born to be free. Throughout history freedom defined differently according to different cultures and different period of time. Freedom shows an alteration cultures to culture.
Freedom means the power or right to act, speak, or think without restraint, and the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved. Freedom is the correction to do what he/she wants, live life, and eat what he/she wants. How do we live free? We live free by not judging other people’s freedom rights. Everyone has their own rights.
