Animal testing should stay legal in Canada
In Canada, animal rights extremists are waging a silent war. This war may be preventing researchers from developing new drugs. What should humans do in the conflict between animal rights and patient rights? As we know, the animal testing is the foundation and important supporting condition for medical science and life science research. The chemical industry, agriculture, light industry, environmental protection, aerospace, commodity inspection, military industry, and many other fields are gaining new breakthrough from animal testing. From the perspective of my view, the benefits of animal testing outweigh the benefits of canceling the animal testing. Therefore, the animal testing should stay legal in Canada.

The achievements of the animal testing in improving human health are obvious to all. For example, smallpox, disease, and encephalitis have disappeared in most parts of the world, which is directly derived from some animal tests. In China, it is legal to carry out animal experiments on cosmetics. Products that are neither pharmaceuticals nor cosmetics are also tested on animals to ensure that the product does not harm the user. Both the EU and the United States stipulate that toxic substances such as anti-mosquito agents must finish the toxicological testing on animals before sales. If animal experiments are undone, such products cannot be sold on the shelves, and there is no way to protect humans from malaria or dengue
