Since the civilization of humans, many people have shown prejudice and discriminated against same-sex marriage couples. While some are strongly against this matter, others are determined to establish same-sex marriage, making it free and legal all around the world. Very few countries have legalized this, with many still unsure about it, one of them being Australia.

Australia is home to over 23 million people, and only 2% of the population have been classified as gay. As the years go on, the percentage of homosexuals could increase, along with the marriage of same-sex couples. This issue has been on the political agenda of Australia for several years now, and the government has only legalized it in very few parts. Numerous polls and studies have been conducted, proving that there has been a rapid increase of support to legalize same-sex marriage across the world, but leaders and citizens of most countries have not approved because of religious and cultural beliefs. …show more content…
