On Wednesday, January 17, 2018, I attended my first ever theatre class in downtown Roanoke. There was plenty of kids in the class and around half of them were doing homeschool instead of public. Students all over the world are doing different types of school such as going to private, to public, or to online. Many homeschooled kids go to theatre class to interact and meet new people in order to stay social. Socializing is a great thing and can be made possible even for kids who spend most of their day at home doing school alone. Although some people believe all kids should attend public school because it gives them more of a social upbringing, the truth is, if students were allowed to attend classes from home they could easily learn more when sick, focus more on studies, and comfort would be easily reached without problem. First off, sickness is the number one reason students miss school chronically. If students were given the option to attend class online at home while sick, then they would not be as behind on school due to days they missed not being able to come in. During the school day, plenty of distraction are going to be happening, fighting people, arguing boyfriends, and loud friends. Taking classes at home would not assure that there would be no drama, but it would not be following you into your “classroom”, hence there would be more of a chance to escape it all. Another thing to consider is the fact that video conferencing would be made available, any questions could be answered. During the school day there has been loads of times when students fear raising their hands to ask question in the case it could make them look less intelligent in front of their peers. Being able to ask any question that pops into your brain without the worry of looking dumb would be an ingenious thing to bring to the
