Many teachers, students and parents think that using technology is school should not be occurring. But, many schools are currently using technology and students grades continue to rise. By the following argument we can see that many teachers are starting to consider more technology in their classrooms. In the direction we are heading with technology will be taking over our schools. Students in schools should start using technology because technology is cheaper, more hands-on, more enjoyable for children, and laptops can “carry” more.
First of all, Technology is cheaper. One Computer is cheaper than 5 textbooks. E-books on average cost 50-60% less than print textbooks. One computer can cost up to $500, while several textbooks can cost up to …show more content…

Children can play games that go along with the lesson. The child can play games that will benefit his or her needs individually. There are so many learning tools that children can use. Technology should also be used in schools because children get direct instruction. Technology based instruction can speed up the child learning process by 30-80%. Children with specific needs can use special voice-over tool provided with laptops and tablets. Along with getting direct instruction, children can also watch videos . When watching videos children can benefit from getting a more in depth instruction on the lesson. Textbooks are limited to only pictures and text, but when using technology students grades will begin to rise. Using technology during standardized testing has shown improvements in test scores by over 20%. Technology also has the benefit of the students highlighting an important piece of text without ruining a textbook, allowing them to go back and re-read something he or she might be struggling with. In many ways that technology is more hands on students also can show improvement by playing games to go along with the lesson, get direct instruction, watch videos that go along with the lesson and their grades are
