Should video games be considered a sport ?
Should video games be considered a sport? No. I feel it should not be a sport for many reasons to. Today, the world is all about technology and video games is a big part of that.

Sports to me feel like you need athletic skill like endurance,speed,strength and persistence. Video games don't quite meet those standards, Video games are anything but a sport. Yes, you are being mentally active but i don't see is as a sport. Also according to “Talon Markd.com” any one can become good at a video game. It's not just the video games itself, i think shouldn't be the sport it's also the effects it can lead to, to prevent it from being a sport. The pro gamers would have to practice a lot and that can lead to many brain cells dying, and worse people can end up dieing because playing too long. Playing too long is not even the only way to die from a video game there have been many other ways people have lost their lives from a video game. There have been many reports of death from a videogame like in 2007, a Chinese man played a game for three days straight at an Internet cafe. That's 72 hours of consecutive gaming. After three days, the man dropped dead from exhaustion. I'm not saying that pro gamers will do that but there can be bad effects on their longer life. …show more content…
