Introduction
Through analyses of Ireland and Estonia I will show how they are similar and different by means of physical geography, agriculture, economies, population, religion, and politics.
Physical Geography
Geographically Ireland and Estonia are in the same region of the world, that of Europe. Estonia and Ireland are relatively small countries. Both Ireland and Estonia have access to water, although the difference being that Ireland has a longer coast (Estonia Map; Ireland Map). Estonia is more inland and Ireland is on the outskirts of Europe. Relatively both are around the same latitude. Estonia has many islands in the Baltic Sea. Ireland is larger in size and not as fragmented.

Like the office of president has a similar meaning in power as head of state but does not take on the same role in governmental affairs.
Religion
Religions of the world can define populations and have an impact on such things as politics and become something that people look to for guidance throughout life. So what are the religions of Estonia and Ireland?
According to the CIA’s The World Factbook, religion in Estonia is divided as:
“Lutheran 9.9%, Orthodox 16.2%, other Christian (including Methodist, Seventh-Day Adventist, Roman Catholic, Pentecostal) 2.2%, other 0.9%, none 54.1%, unspecified 16.7% (2011 est.)(Estonia)”
According to the CIA’s The World Factbook, religion in Ireland is divided as:
“Roman Catholic 84.7%, Church of Ireland 2.7%, other Christian 2.7%, Muslim 1.1%, other 1.7%, unspecified 1.5%, none 5.7% (2011 est.)(Ireland)”
Estonia is far less religious than Ireland as the data point to an overwhelming non-religious population. A majority of Estonians do not follow a religion. However, the majority of Irish people follow some form of Christianity the most being that of Roman Catholic. Christianity is a part of both countries with emerging populations of other religions
